Old Bats & Red Hats of Lexington
June Event Schedule (plus other stuff)
There are no dues to be a member of Old Bats & Red Hats,
and everyone is welcome to participate in our activities. Our chapter is rather
informal regarding dress code, so please dress for comfort. Please
contact the appropriate Red Hat Chapter directly if the event is not run by our
Chapter, and dress accordingly. Lots of Red Hat Society (worldwide) events take
place all the time. Go to www.redhatsociety.com
for information on events held by Red Hat Quarters. If you commit to an
activity which has an associated cost, you will be held accountable if payment
is made on your behalf (and no replacement can be found in time). Please let me

if you wish to join (and receive separate emails) on any of the following
clubs:
Dinner and a Movie Club - held the first Tuesday of each month (6-9 pm approx.)
Book Club - held the second Tuesday of each month (6-8:30 pm)
Scrambled Scrabble - held on some Sunday afternoons
Adventure Dinner Club usually held on the fourth Tuesday of each month (6 -
8:30 pm)
Bridge/Mah Jongg - held on Thursdays (1-4 pm)
Note that the above days are conditional on weather, my personal travel plans,

Thurs., June 3rd, 1 pm - 4 pm: Bridge and Mah Jongg. Held
at 128 Worthen Road, Lexington. Enter through gate (next to driveway) to the
pool house in the backyard. Dress comfortably. Light refreshments served.

Sun., June 6th, 1 pm - 3:30 pm: Scrambled Scrabble. A potluck lunch is served at around 1 pm with Scrabble play at 1:45 pm. Come alone or bring a friend! We play in teams of two - beginner, medium and advanced play tables are available so come for fun or play for blood. If participating in Pot Luck lunch, please bring a main dish, side dish, salad, or dessert (enough to feed 6-8 people). Enter through front door. Please RSVP. Please do not park on neighbor’s lawn or in my driveway. The pool is officially open.
Tues, June 8th, 6 pm - 8:30 pm: Book Club. A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick. Pot luck dinner is at 6 pm, with the book club meeting following at around 7 pm. Bring your own question. Bring a main dish, side dish, salad, dessert, or wine (enough to feed 6-8 people) if you wish to join us for the pot luck. Enter through front door for pot luck, or through the gate next to the backyard (pool house) for the meeting. Dress comfortably. Please do not park in driveway, nor park on neighbor’s lawn.

Ballroom doors open, Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Dinner Italian
buffet: choice Cheese
Ravioli with Bolognaise Meat Sauce, Chicken Picatta or Veg. Napoleon with
Portabella Mushrooms and stacked grilled veggies. Entertainment by
humorist, Rosemary Verri and Guitarist Dan Fallon will entertain us musically

Hodder, PATHS, 17 Independence Way, Bedford, MA 01730, mailed no later than
6/8/10. On-line sales till 6/10/10. Last year we had 29 chapters,
both large and small, some with a few attendees, some with whole tables and a
good time was had by all. I your group does not fill a entire table, that
is ok, we will happy seat you will other compatible Red Hatters and you can make
new friends or enjoy old ones. We will have vendors for shopping, raffle
baskets to win, a bar in the ballroom! Plus the satisfaction that
you are helping others learn to navigate the often confusing medical world
while having a good time. A Win-Win Affair! Ticket sales are
brisk but we still have a bit of room for more lovely Red Hatted Ladies and we
hope that includes you!

Enter through gate (next to driveway) to the pool house in the backyard. Dress comfortably, wear a Red Hat, and bring your own towel. A fabulous lunch will be served and we will play games. Sun., July 4th, 7 pm – 10:30 pm: It's Ralphie B's Beach Party Fireworks Cruise aboard the Captain Lady III, Plum Island Point in Newburyport. The evening will bring great food, entertainment, dancing, fireworks and more, all for just $39 per person. Cash bar will be available onboard.
